Haunted houses in Corpus Christi –  Autumn in Corpus Christi is the best time for many people to enjoy the area, as temperatures fall and the high-season crowds of summer dwindle. If you are on the hunt for Corpus Christi October events, there are tons of activities and entertainment waiting for you. From the renowned local Dia de los Muertos Festival to the fun corn maze at Rockin’ K Farms to pumpkin patches large and small, there is something for everyone. Here, for example, is a brief list of some of this spooky season’s top haunted houses in Corpus Christi and the surrounding local area.

The Hauntings of Boogeyman Haunted House is open between 8:00 pm to 12:00 midnight, Fridays and Saturdays through October 29, and on Halloween Monday, October 31 from 8:00 pm until the last person in line exits. It is wheelchair accessible and open to all ages (though children must be accompanied by an adult and able to walk through the maze on their own). The cost is $20 for general admission or $35 for VIP tickets which allow you to skip the line.

Check it out at 4813 Farm-to-Market Road 666 in Mathis, about 40 minutes inland from Corpus Christi.

The Fright Night Haunted House theme this year is The Haunted Hotel. Open from 7:00 – 11:00 pm on Fridays and Saturdays through October 29, 6:00 – 10:00 pm on Sunday, October 30, and 6:00 – 11:00 pm on Halloween Monday, October 31, the Fright Night Haunted House is located in downtown Corpus Christi at 615 Mesquite Street, behind Mesquite Street Pizza. The cost to enter is $20 for general admission, $30 for a “fast-pass,” and $50 for the ability to skip the line.

The USS Lexington Museum on the Bay at 2914 N. Shoreline Boulevard in Corpus Christi is hosting the “Haunting on the Blue Ghost” haunted house on board the World War II-era aircraft carrier. The open hours are 7:00 – 10:30 pm on Fridays and Saturdays through October 29, Sunday, October 30, and Halloween Monday, October 31. Tickets are available at $30 for general admission or $40 for VIP (i.e., skip-the-line) entry.

The Old Nueces County Courthouse is another place to consider when looking for spooky spots in the city. Completed in 1914, the now-abandoned courthouse awaits its fate. Though entry to this deserted historical building is prohibited, this Corpus Christi haunted courthouse is not one to miss on a walking tour of the downtown area.
